B183 Intro to Entrepreneurship

This week was more in depth about our personal lives, more than just being an entrepreneur in general. This week we talked about how we need to always be personal and professional, but also be ethical. Ethics in the workplace is really all about being honest with your dealing with your fellow men and also just having integrity in general. When we have integrity then we will be more respected in the workplace and we will be able to have more success getting more clients to join on with us in the business transactions that we will be having. I think that when we internalize ourselves and internally the practices that will make us be successful and ethical people, that it really will just come down to what we learned in elementary school. Be nice, be happy, and then the people that you work with will be much more likely to continue to work with you in the future. This week we talked about being an entrepreneur. But not in the most common sense of the word. This week we really just focused on the fact that we need to work on ourselves first. We need to always remember that when an entrepreneur is successful, then it is because he is first focused internally. We should ask ourselves a few questions. Did I contribute something meaningful? Was I a good person? Who did I love and who loved me? I realized that out of the choices of getting a job, getting a career, and having a life mission, that choosing to have a life mission is the best out of the three. This is because I know that without a life mission you can't go anywhere without them. I have learned that a star is the end result, and the stepping stone are the steps you must take to get there. This week was the very first week in our class. It was full of introduction activities that we did as a class. It got us to be able to meet each other very well and it was fun to be able to do that. I think that learning activities and group activities like that are essential to becoming a great entrepreneur. You will get nowhere in life if you do not learn to associate yourselves with other people. This will be a class full of group learning I think. The book is a great way to learn how to take the steps to become an entrepreneur as well. I think that this class will help me to realize who I am as a person and who I can become in the real world. This will help me as I progress through life and it will help me to become the person that I know I need to be. The first group activity that we are assigned will be this next week.
